ROLE We need an AWS Cloud Engineer. Apply today! RESPONSIBILITIES Design, architect, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions Advise engineering and software engineering team as they migrate from on-premise to cloud infrastructure Maintain and improve existing infrastructure, eg, autoscaling, new services, optimizations, etc. Help build a highly automated infrastructure Optimize cloud workloads for cost, scalability, availability, governance, compliance, etc. Guide and/or provide hands-on support to administer production, staging, and deployment environments Advise and assist on SUSE Linux capabilities (preferred but not required) Articulate solutions on various topics, eg, cloud migrations, enterprise implementation, private and hybrid clouds, etc. Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to teams to understand requirements and plan architecture and solutions Work closely with a software engineering team implementing SAP HANA Use automation tools like Ansible for provisioning, configuration, deployment, etc. Advise and assist on architecture and strategy across the enterprise Use continuous integration and deployment (CI/CID) tools like Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, Nexus, etc. Maintain and improve existing build and deployment processing using CI/CD tools Apply insight and expertise across AWS services Work with virtual machines Apply knowledge of scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc. Apply knowledge of enterprise-level systems design, networking, software, hardware, integration, etc. Apply DevOps best practices Help protect and preserve the enterprise's security posture Enable and empower engineering teams to implement STIGs (security technical implementation guides) Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to refine the security baseline and harden key components BACKGROUND Demonstrated experience across scope of responsibilities Competency in AWS Competencies in cloud, storage, networking, etc. Preference for experience with SUSE Linux and/or SAP HANA EDUCATION Bachelor's degree Strong preference for AWS certification(s) Preference for Agile certification(s) LOCATION Washington DC 20534 CLEARANCE Eligible for SECRET security clearance TRAVEL No travel required West 4th Strategy is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) employer.
