Our Technical Services Division provides research, development, analysis and field service support to advance the architecting and fielding of advanced sensor systems for ISR and Force Protection missions. Our System Division provide the engineering design, development of complete and integrated solutions from hardware to software for sensors, systems and command and control architecture. MTEQ seeks mid-level software analysts to support a federal program management office in Northern Virginia. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide "eyes and ears" technology to protect our nation. Please note that the software analyst will not develop or extend software . ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: You will provide software analysis during the system acquisition and sustainment life cycle to support the requirements definition, evaluation, testing, and configuration management for our client's programs and projects. You will analyze software developed by other contractors, primarily to support the integration of items such as cameras, radars, sensors, and communications relays. Representative responsibilities: Provide user requirements for software development and procurement efforts (internal and external) Evaluate software-intensive programs and processes Evaluate software design and review construction of work products submitted for our client's programs and projects Review the contractor's software test and evaluation work products Analyze the contractor's software maintenance, configuration management, engineering management and process development, tools and methods, and quality assessments Ensure the requirements traceability matrix (RTM), system design documents (SDD), testing and verification documents, technical drawings, configuration management support, and other systems engineering life-cycle artifacts are provided or updated Develop and update software analysis reports REQUIREMENTS: Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active US Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only US citizens are eligible for a suitability determination. Previous work with CBP's Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), and/or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus. 3 to 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology (IT), or a related discipline. Experience with software development and analysis for embedded real-time applications and user interface applications. Experience with software analysis tools such as Git, IBM Rational, and JIRA. Knowledge of one or more of the applications, database, or programming languages relevant to the project-e.g., Java, JavaScript, Java EE, C++, Simula, Apache Struts, HTML CSS, Ruby on Rails, LoadRunner, Microsoft Visual Basic, IBM Rational Rose XDE Developer, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle DBMS. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment. Experience with applying IEEE 1012-2016 processes to standardize validation and verification activities and conducting static software analysis is preferred. Professional certification in a relevant field is desirable. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance, ie US Citizenship, required . Active DoD Security Clearance preferred.
