Ballet Petite is a wonderful established company with locations in DC, Bethesda, McLean, and Potomac and Enrichment Programs throughout the greater Washington area. We are now accepting applications for part-time instructors. Candidates may teach as few as 1 or 2 classes per week, or, many classes. The curriculum at Ballet Petite immerses its students in a creative, enriching environment where they are given an all-encompassing dance education with elements of classic literature, dance, music, theater, and costuming incorporated into each class. Our Enrichment Program focuses on bringing the magic of Ballet Petite to wonderful local schools. We have an amazing curriculum for each level and lesson plans for each class. Teachers will participate in a paid training program. Requirements: --Enthusiasm and a joy of working with children. --All candidates must be able to teach some level of Ballet or Musical Theatre or Tap or Hip Hop. --Candidates must possess strong character traits and attributes, including creativity, reliability, energy, and a love of the arts that can be shared with children. --Must be available during some portion of a weekday late afternoon. Some mornings available as well. --All teachers must be CPR certified within the first month of employment. Teachers must also be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
