Job Role As a key member of a high-performing, fast-paced team, you will interface with external stakeholders, subject matter experts, user experience, and the product owner to analyze and define system requirements. You will have the opportunity to work end-to-end as a proxy for the users and customers by liaising directly with developers, testers, and other roles active in the software development life cycle. This includes eliciting needs, writing user stories, and defining quality acceptance criteria. On any given day, you will conduct stakeholder and user interviews to identify business needs and define functional and nonfunctional system requirements. You will also mine data in support of anlysis, resolve data inconsistencies, and support complex queries from data source partners or customers and coordinate with the DoD customer to communicate product status and alignment to the organization s needs. You will also work with appropriate organizations to identify relevant data sources as the primary liaison for Memorandums of Understanding/Memorandums of Agreement. You will need to leverage strong communication and interpersonal skills, regularly meeting with senior military officers involved in plans, policy, training management, and readiness assessment. This is a hands-on role working closely with team members in support of multiple activities, including testing, documentation reviews, user design and any other activities critical to successful product performance. Required skills & experience Due the nature of our business, an ACTIVE, Secret, DoD issued Security Clearance is REQUIRED upon hire Five years of experience in software development and the life-cycle process, and expert knowledge within the field in which the solution is being implemented Experience identifying and documenting system requirements and working as part of an agile development team to implement hardware and software solutions Experience working with senior military personnel Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access Strong commitment to learn the DoD Readiness business domain Desired knowledge & experience Master s degree in one of the categories listed above Previous military experience Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts Mission Essential Task Lists (METL) familiarization Knowledge of SharePoint and Visual Studio Team System Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent specialized experience directly related to the requirements for this position Benefits & Culture When you join our team, we are committed to enhancing your skills through training and certification programs, as needed, to facilitate your role on the team.
