Novant Health is seeking a Senior Wireless Engineer (Wireless Network Engineer III) to be responsible for helping our customers assure that the wireless network systems that support their business operations are appropriately maintained and supported. A successful Wireless Network Engineer will be proficient in managing LAN/WAN/WLAN network environments to ensure the stability and security of the client network. A successful candidate will be self-disciplined, work well on individual tasks in a team environment, and be able to work well and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations. #JoinTeamAubergine #NovantHealth Qualifications: Education : Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent. Industry certifications: Possesses multiple Avaya, Cisco and multiple other higher level industry and/or vendor credentials and certifications as indicated by management teams. Experience : 5+ years-related experience. Avaya product experience, Cisco applicable experience and Aruba applicable experience in Network design including security offerings is required. Has experience with large scale or complex communication system architectures and implementations. Mid level understanding of LAN/WAN networking technologies including TCP/IP, Layer 2 LAN switching, VLAN Spanning tree, HSRP/VRRP, routing protocols RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS. Role Summary : The SE III is considered a trusted advisor with the IT staff and management often resulting in a technical leading role. Technical knowledge at this level is mandated and exhibit very complex technological, multi-vendor dimensions. The SE III masters a confident balance between deep technical expertise across multiple products and strong interpersonal Novant skills. SE III is able to design, demonstrate and perform integration of product and service capabilities in complex environments while overcoming objections and internal obstacles. They are recognized experts in a specific subset of Novant s product capabilities, an SE III may contribute to Virtual Teams and train others.
