Nationally Recognized Franchise Seeks Motivated and Dynamic Instructors Location: Club Pilates Tenleytown (4433 Wisconsin Avenue, NW Washington DC 20016) We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic Instructors to join our studio family. Both full- & part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Pilates and helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. If you are a professional Pilates instructor who is energetic, friendly, willing to learn, build relationships with potential and existing clients, sell classes and lead dynamic apparatus focused workout routines (we use Balanced Body reformers, EXO chairs, TRX, spring boards, ballet barre and more), you ll be a great addition to our team. With more than 30 classes a week, you ll enjoy block class scheduling to maximize pay and time. QUALIFICATIONS: For Instructor, 450 hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, Springboard. Proof of certification required. For Jr. Instructor, 250 hours and minimum Mat & Reformer certified. Willingness to enroll in and complete Chair and Springboard modules of Club Pilates Teacher Training or another pre-approved school within 6 months of hire. Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills Experience ideally teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus based group class (will consider smaller class sizes as Club Pilates is very unique in the class size being larger) Maintain open availability for a minimum of 6 hours (2 shifts) per week Professional and effective communication skills In depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studios (Club Pilates benefits will be taught) Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates Comfortable adding TRX, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities to teaching repertoire (which will be taught in the Onboarding Training) Team player Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars Punctual and Reliable Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment Ability to recognize areas of improvement and pro-actively communicate with management Consistently uses excellent judgment Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management and instructors Professional and neat Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality Strong problem-solver Proficient in (or ability to become) ClubReady software for basic use ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Pilates instruction to include free prospect intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training as scheduled by a management and pursuant to Club Pilates standards Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio management Must arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semi-private session Participate in networking/community events as needed and studio promotions to generate new business Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times Maintain honesty and integrity Help Sell Memberships and Retail (will be asked to wear Club Pilates branded clothing) Any other duties as assigned PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
