POSITION DESCRIPTION The St. James is actively seeking a Junior Recruiter at its flagship location in Springfield, VA location. The St. James is the premier sports, wellness and active entertainment destination brand in the country, with a mission to maximize human potential by designing, developing and operating sports, wellness and entertainment destinations that engage, inspire and empower people to pursue their passions and be their best at play, at work and in life. Our flagship development in Springfield, Virginia features a premium health club, celebrity chef-inspired restaurant, premium medi-spa, 20,000 sq. ft. active entertainment center, as well as an indoor field house with FIFA-sized field, two NHL-regulation sized ice rinks, 52-meter Olympic competition pool and much, much more. The St. James allows the whole family to pursue their passions in 30+ sports. The Junior Recruiter achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates. The Junior Recruiter will report directly into the Lead Talent Recruiter for the Team and Talent Department at The St. James to develop and establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans & objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Source and identify qualified applicants; conduct preliminary qualification screens to identify applicants that meet the job requirements Prequalify candidates in the interview process using up to date interview and recruitment methodologies Manage candidates through interview process, including but not limited to: Application, References, Background Checks, Interview Schedules, Offers, and Onboarding Consult with Hiring Managers to identify that departments technical skills needs and implement effective sourcing strategies to successfully place candidates; work with Hiring Managers to identify required core competencies to ensure successful long-term hires Develop and maintain network and relationships beneficial to recruitment goals Maintenance of applicants and candidates in the ATS and proper processing of all applicant and new hire paperwork Provide communicative and professional information to candidates and Hiring Managers throughout the recruitment process Contribute to recruitment process improvements and goals Participate in job fairs as needed Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with Hiring Managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Regularly update and collaborate with Lead Talent Recruiter and Director of Team and Talent on recruiting updates and strategies for building effective pipelines Support the safety of all members, guests and employees QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years of full life cycle recruiting experience At least 1 year of recruiting experience at an agency preferred Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred Experience working with various ATS and job boards Demonstrated experience working with high volume of resource requests in a competitive environment with the ability to change focus or searches as needed. Ability to exercise independent judgment to decide on appropriate priorities and procedures to follow Ability to provide consistent service and work independently Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organization Possession of excellent analytical skills to solve problems of a sensitive nature Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment Passion for and commitment to The St. James mission and core values Motivation, maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, "roll-up-my-sleeves" attitude Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices used throughout the sports and wellness industry ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For more information, please visit our website: www.thestjames.co The St. James is an equal opportunity employer.
