Hardware Industrial Supply Procurement, Logistics and, Inventory Control Management This position is responsible for the strategic management of sellable goods and supplies for our contractor's hardware supply and manufacturing operations. Utilizing and management of major strategic sourcing resources. Directly accountable for vendor selection, including research, services, pricing and contractual agreements. Provide direct supervision within our hardware retail store, and ensures effective systems and controls are in place while providing oversight and accountability for expenditures of the Company and optimization of company inventory. Responsibilities * Manage the purchasing and resourcing of sellable goods and product fulfillment within all aspects of our entire operation, including sourcing for our retail counter and outside sales team. Manage manufacturing component to completed goods inventory and oversee production of finished goods schedule within our manufacturing division. * Partner with new and current business vendors in the development of overall sourcing (domestic and international) and supplier management strategies, ensuring alignment with our overall growth strategy. * Lead negotiation strategies that will deliver margin improvement and competitive advantage through sourcing, bid activity, cost management and contract negotiation. * Collaborate with business associates such as sales counter and outside sales, marketing, research and development team members to provide time sensitive field support and ensure purchasing and procurement best practices are utilized. * Identify, evaluate and problem solve gaps in performance related to all levels of procurement activities to include but not limited to, supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, logistics, and material shortage elimination and fulfillment completion. * Seek continuous improvement resulting in measurable improvements in KPIs for sourcing, quoting, meeting specs, and on-time delivery. * Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing to partner with the business and to continuously improve current processes. * Analyze and leverage market data, internal and external resources, spend analytics, and cost modeling to drive fact based decision-making. * You will directly be responsible for the material bids, vendor selection, pricing, logistics, bin assignment and organization, mins/max levels and insuring product supply and sales support to meet N & S's requirements and best practices. * Manage and mentor retail stocking personnel, provide direct supervision to your department and assist in the hiring and development of key talent. * Research and analyze the supply marketplace, maintain working knowledge of cost drivers, product/service pricing, market conditions and identify new and/or alternate source of supply. * Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained to the optimum level and to directly support the sales associates in a rapid, fast paced environment. Qualifications * Past experience in Contractors Hardware and Supply industry * Minimum of five (5) years' relevant purchasing and project management experience within a multi-million-dollar business. * At least two (2) years' experience in a somewhat similar industry, knowledge of construction related products, formulation, experience in the supply industry * Demonstrated experience successfully managing a team in a dynamic environment. * Solid financial skills in the areas of project cost, margin opportunity and ROI. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively at all levels within the organization. * Supply chain experience in material management * Strong combination of strategic vision and an ability to get involved on a "hands-on" basis. * Continuous improvement mindset with proven ability to improve processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power point.
