We are currently looking for an experienced Software Developer (DevOps) for a role on one of our long term, project engagements located in Arlington, VA. An active secret clearance or the ability to attain a secret (DoD) clearance with our assistance is required. This position develops applications and custom solutions primarily using enterprise level Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Python and Open Source Software Web-Based Systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working on integrated development teams using Agile methods. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Engineering or a computer-related field. 5-7 years of software development experience building enterprise level Java / Spring / SpringBoot / Python / Open Source Software Web-Based Systems. 2 years of AWS Cloud experience (Google Cloud, MS Azure, or other Cloud PaaS experience can potentially be a substitute) Strong programming, debugging, automated testing and design skills using Java (primary) and Python (secondary) Solid communicator / Team player / Independent. Possess a technical aptitude and work well in a fast-paced environment. Experience AWS Public or Gov Cloud Solid understanding of the principles of distributed systems, event-driven processing and notifications, and API driven design. A deep understanding of a DevOps culture and associated tools. Experience with the application of container technology Experience with Linux (eg CentOS or RedHat) Working experience with Spring and SpringBoot, Flask, and GUnicorn Strong Data experience with Postgres (PostgresRDS) and possibly DynamoDB. Comfortable with data, data modeling, data migration, and data/schema management nowledge of ETL frameworks and processes using Spring or Apache Nifi.
