Job Summary: The Director, HR leads the Human Resources function at the Elkton Manufacturing Plant and is responsible for the delivery of all HR services, programs and practices; including Organization Development, Workforce Planning, Associate Relations, Performance Management, Compensation, and Training and Leadership development. The Director, HR also provides project management support to broader Human Resources initiatives across TMC and TAH. The Director, HR is also responsible for the Elkton HR staff including goal setting, performance management, coaching, and development. They will also act in a consultative manner when working with associates, managers and executives within Elkton as well as externally with vendors and community organizations. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Ability to deliver results accurately and with a high sense of urgency. Deep knowledge of HR systems, processes and state of the art thinking on HR issues. Requires independent judgment to assess, solve, improve or recommend changes to problems affecting Associate Relations and Human Resource issues within management and corporate policy guidelines. Possesses strong organizational, project management and analytical skills. Ability to manage up and down the organization in order to ensure consistency and compliance with HR policies, procedures and guidelines. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization. Flexible, adaptable and resilient Background Experience Bachelor s degree, Masters preferred, in business, HR or social sciences coupled with a minimum of ten years progressive Human Resource Generalist/Manager experience. Experience working in a Manufacturing Envronment Must have plant-level HR experience in the areas of Recruitment, Associate Relations, Performance Management, Leadership and employee development. Working in a regulated industry a plus Prior experience in a start-up or early stage business is preferred. Requires a strong knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and statutes.
