Undergraduate Education department, Administrative Assistant

The George Mason University department of Undergraduate Education in the Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the opening of an Administrative Assistant position. This position will be part of the Undergraduate Education team and be responsible for a variety of activities supporting the mission of Undergraduate Education at George Mason. The position provides administrative support for all aspects of office functions for the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education and the Undergraduate Education team.

Primary Responsibilities: * Managing the calendars for the Associate Provost, staff, and Undergraduate Education offices; * Professionally receiving visitors and responding to external inquiries about Undergraduate Education programs and services; * Supporting the communication plan of the office and developing strategies for effective advertising; * Providing support for human resource processes and purchasing; * Planning and assisting with events related to the mission of Undergraduate Education.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Able to work well in a team as well as independently; * Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; * Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); * Able to prioritize competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience editing websites, specifically in Drupal and Wordpress; * Knowledge of GMU-specific systems such as Banner, eVA, Navigate, Handshake, and Drupal.
