Peraton is seeking a Field Service Technician for a classified program to provide operations & sustainment to wired and wireless network communications, including telephony. Enterprise network support across multiple unclassified and classified domains Installation and removal of network components including switches, routers, line cards, wireless controllers, WAPS/WIDS/WIPS devices, network monitoring devices, rack mounted power, fiber/copper cabling (including backbone trunk), zone distribution boxes, cable patch panels, wall/ceiling/floor access outlets, firewalls, and other network components Support change requests for approved enclave and perimeter network modifications. May include site surveys, analysis and validation of requests, impacts to systems, coordination with security, documentation, and other activities. Provisioning and discontinuation of circuits, as approved. Installation, removal, and disposal of telephony communications components. Installs, maintains, and repairs network equipment, including LAN/WAN, Cyber Security, Cryptographic, and Satellite Communications hardware. Provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to resolve issues. Performs wide range of installation tasks such as running cable; installing and connecting trays, racks, and electronic hardware systems; and connecting and testing computer server, network, and telecommunications equipment. Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Assembles, installs, and configures systems and equipment in accordance with site Engineering Orders and assessments and schematics. Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation. Completes final commissioning and integrated acceptance testing. Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components. Provides on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting. Travels frequently to customer sites in performance of duties. REQUIRED: High School graduate with 5+ years of proven enterprise network installation and maintenance experience Minimum of one DoD 8570 approved IAT Level I certification Must possess active TS/SCI security clearance; may be subject to poly Familiar with Juniper network components This position requires frequent activity to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. This position requires ability to reach with hands and arms. Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
