The Cloud Solutions Architect will join a team that is defining and driving organizational transformation into AWS. As a thought leader, you will be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence that is responsible for leading and defining best practices and principles in the early stages of evolution. You will partner with various K12 stakeholders to articulate cloud solutions while adhering to the cloud governance processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A cents € cents Act as primary solutions architect for a suite of K12 applications A cents € cents Work with multiple K12 product, business, and development teams to design solutions that are viable, scalable, flexible, reliable, and secure. A cents € cents Lead or contribute to a high level to architecture, governance, and project execution discussions A cents € cents Work within the Cloud Center of Excellence to define principles, develop patterns, and disseminate best practices A cents € cents Proactively plan and envision and future state view of K12's cloud ecosystem, anticipating capabilities, training, and skills for the organization A cents € cents Research and validate emerging technologies to recommend to K12 communicating clear benefits and risks to leadership and stakeholders A cents € cents Provide training and guidance to engineers moving into the K12 cloud environment for new technologiesMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A cents € cents AWS Solutions Architect Certification A cents € cents Three (3) years as a technical architect designing cloud-driven solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) A cents € cents Five (5) years in a hands-on technical role as an architect or developer A cents € cents Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends A cents € cents Experience with designing implementation, or consulting with distributed applications A cents € cents Experience in a Cloud architect or engineer role, in building cloud solutions or "migrating"A' on premise workloads to the cloud A cents € cents Experience in a Cloud architecture role building cloud solutions that meet both technical and business needs A cents € cents Experience with building, delivering, and managing hybrid Cloud IaaS environments A cents € cents Three (3) years working on and/or leading Agile teams A cents € cents Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A cents € cents Experience working with and tuning high-volume applications A cents € cents Understand security best practices for cloud applications and infrastructure A cents € cents Demonstrable ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget A cents € cents Experience integrating with API backends A cents € cents Ability to clearly write technical specifications and strong estimating and planning skills A cents € cents Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles A cents € cents Ability and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure environment A cents € cents Life learner with the ability to direct, coach or consult with others
