Mosaic Learning is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join a rapidly growing Multimedia content development team. At Mosaic Learning, the Instructional Designer is both a learning professional and a business professional. In this role you"ll help our clients understand their training needs, design highly effective online courses, and collaborate / mentor a cross-functional team that brings your designs to fruition on time, on budget and beyond the client"s expectations. We are an agile company with a dynamic work environment that offers Instructional Designers the opportunity to design some of the most immersive training solutions in the learning and development market. Along with developing traditional Level 1, 2. 3 online learning, you"ll work hand-in-hand with our clients, SMEs, and internal teams to develop groundbreaking immersive learning systems for VR and AR, mobile micro-learning, gamification, and machine learning. Responsibilities: Work directly with our clients and SMEs to design online training programs that fulfill the client"s business needs Create design documents, content outlines, storyboards, A/V scripts and other supporting documents Develop and estimate project plans that balance the client"s needs with the available schedule and budget Author classroom instruction document to include instructor guides, student guides and classroom support tools Design web based learning that is engaging and educational for the learner Ensure what we deliver matches our clients" objectives Use any and all tools/platforms at your disposal to create learning content that delivers on objectives and is structured for optimized learning Develop courses and curriculum from existing content, with adaptive content and/or from scratch Create instructor and student guides and training manuals Be able to support any and all learning decisions with research and data Desired Skills & Experience: This role requires a strong ability to: Communicate well to a C-Level audience in support of the sales process Identify performance objectives Design and write storyboards for e-learning Ability to understand technical processes and develop instructional solutions Work with detailed technical content from a variety of fields Create effective online assessments The role also requires: The ability to conduct a needs assessment and define instructional goals The ability to understand and manage a courseware development effort from inception to completion Familiarity with current multimedia development and authoring tools, including Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Power Point and Adobe XD Experience with working on multiple projects simultaneously with various timelines and budgets To be a contributing team member during client meetings and consultations Requirements: Bachelor"s degree or higher in Instructional Design or Educational Technology Minimum of five years" experience working as an Instructional Designer for corporate clients and/or related field Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models Lesson and curriculum planning skills Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System A successful instructional designer at Mosaic Learning will have excellent writing, communication and collaboration skills, a firm grasp of how people learn, and a user-centric mentality that turns client objectives into successful courseware. The perfect candidate should also have experience in managing projects and a functional or conversational knowledge of basic graphic design, web design, and Learning Management Systems like Moodle, Blackboard, and xAPI.
