This opportunity involves working directly with first responders, field operators, and warfighters to develop and integrate innovative solutions to meet their mission critical problems. You will provide hands-on software design and development expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments, collaborate with other team members, project sponsors, and government personnel to devise practical solutions to problems. Additionally, there are opportunities to provide field engineering support at experiments and exercises conducted by project sponsor and partners. Required: Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to ever changing problems Expertise in principles of object-oriented software design and programming Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with Internet technologies such as HTTP, AJAX, REST web services, and related emerging web standards Knowledge and experience with XML technology such as XSLT, XML Schema, and XML Namespaces Knowledge and experience with JSON and object serialization Ability to write and present technical material in the form of proposals, white papers, test plans and reports, technical reports, and presentations Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment consisting of colleagues, project sponsors, government contractors, and first responders or other government personnel. Knowledge of fundamental IP-based networking principles Knowledge of Internet Technologies that comprise the OSI Stack Model such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, etc. Knowledge of fundamental virtualization principles Qualifications: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. ABET accredited institutions and programs preferred 6 years experience of hands-on software development in C# or Java Working knowledge of Angular4 and Spring US Citizenship required in order to comply with law, regulation, executive order, or government contract Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
