Job Description The Electrical Engineer position is broadly responsible for the general design and engineering support tasks associated with specialty vehicle and technology integration/mobile communication builds. Specific focus will be on designing, implementing, and improving the complex electrical systems, components, and equipment that comprise our diverse product offerings and build solutions. This position supports sales and operations departments and is actively engaged in the process of engineering adaptations of TechOps products and solutions under the technical guidance of the Senior Design Engineer. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Perform general design and engineering tasks associated with specialty vehicle and technology integration/mobile communication builds under the supervision of the Senior Design Engineer to include vehicle design, product research, building Bills of Materials, and wiring schematics. Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for specialty vehicles and mobile communications purposes. Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment. Confer with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects. Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams. Establish construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations. Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities. Write reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies. Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation. Maintain electrical equipment. Work with a variety of technicians. Provide product or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
