Westat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments. Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.
Westat is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join the fast-paced corporate contracts unit. The ideal candidate will support the full life-cycle of contract management activities and lead a team of contracts staff.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review and negotiate all types of agreements, including Teaming Agreements, Contracts, Grants and Subcontracts.
• Provide contractual and business guidance to Westat's research staff on matters related to proposals and contract activities.
• Collaborate and provide support to various internal departments including: Accounting, Legal, Finance and Marketing.
• Support the development of new contract templates and on-going updates of policies and process documents.
Basic Qualifications:
• Some college coursework in a health related field with 10 years of contracts and grant administration experience.
• Experience administering Health and Human Services contracts.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating complex agreements.
• Advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in business, law or contracts related discipline.
• Experience with GSA contracts
• Advanced Knowledge of the Health and Human Services Acquisition Regulations
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; detail-oriented and work well in a team environment.
