Summary

This position supports the Criminal Division's (CRM) facilities and space management team. CRM is currently working on multiple design and construction projects, located in DC and other areas of the US. This position would help manage the multiple space projects involving renovations, swinging personnel, records, and furniture while maintaining normal daily operations for CRM's building occupants.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts special analytical studies designed to improve, standardize, and render more cost effective, the utilization of space and facilities within the Division.
  • Utilizes project management principles in order to develop, schedule, coordinate, and manage space and facilities utilization projects and resources.
  • Monitors quality of work by Specialists and Assistants and conducts quality control checks.
  • Determines priorities in conjunction with the Assistant Director.
  • Conducts research and studies necessary to determine actual Division facilities and space requirements.
  • Surveys, plans and directs field office and local Division space reconfigurations, remodeling and relocations.
  • Manages the workload of all facilities and space management efforts for assigned team of Specialists and Assistants.
  • Distributes and balances workload among Specialists, assure timely completion of tasks, and ensures that each Specialist has enough work to keep busy.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 federal grade level. Examples of specialized experience must include duties such as: providing daily oversight of an organizations space and facilities management programs; communicating with customers to correct problems in space management, leasing or related functions; and surveying, planning, and recommending space reconfigurations, remodeling and relocations.

Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration by the closing date of this announcement.
