MedStar Washington Hospital Center located in our nation's capital is seeking to find an AVP, Marketing for the largest private hospital in Washington, DC This not-for-profit, academic medical center has over 900-beds and serves as a referral center and the central hub for the region's most advance acute medical care. The AVP, Marketing will provide strategic direction and business development goals with a focus on the high priority service lines as well as directly manage the marketing, branding and advertising functions to support the organization's overall mission. This key leader will be a strong analytical thinker, creative and have the ability to evaluate market trends and implement innovative marketing strategies. The AVP will report to the Vice President, Public Affairs & Marketing at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital with a dotted line to the President, MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Candidate Qualifications: Experience in acute care marketing is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field is required. Master's degree in Health Administration, or related field is preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in marketing development, research for a healthcare organization; five years at the management level. Knowledge of resources, market and business data and ability to apply this information in the development, implementation, measurement and evaluation of marketing programs. Direct experience in healthcare marketing including the development of abstract concepts applied to creative materials, and the management of key marketing functions Strong understanding of data driven content strategies.
