Clearance Requirement : DoD Secret eligible Certification Requirements: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) to be obtained within 90 days of beginning work. Summary : Position will have the responsibility to train Department of State (DOS) Information Management Specialist (IMS), Information Management Technical Specialist (IMTS), locally engaged staff (LES), Diplomatic Security (DS) and employees from other US Government agencies on a variety of telephone systems and related equipment. Ability to travel to domestic and international locations to conduct training. Required Experience: A' . Strong communications skills A' . Programming and maintaining the Avaya/Nortel Meridian family of switches including CS1000E Call Server (Avaya/Nortel Switch Certification is desired). A' . Programming and maintaining various Avaya/Nortel Meridian switches, ie 11C, 51C, 61C, and 81C PBX systems, at Succession 3.0 or higher. A' . Programming and maintaining advanced Avaya/Nortel Meridian, Call Pilot, Digital Trunk Interface and Primary Rate Interface (DTI/PRI). A' . Identifying and resolving network switching, routing, and real time communications (VoIP & RoIP) problems. A' . Cisco Telephone PBX. A' . A minimum of five (5) years of experience and working knowledge of engineering, standard installation practices, operation and maintenance procedures are required. Desired Experience: A' . Background and working knowledge of Call Detail Recording for Avaya/Meridian Systems. Ability to work with and configure third party Call Accounting Systems such as Phoneware CallBill. A' . Background and working knowledge of Tempest, Operational Security, Communications Security (COMSEC) and Telephone Security Group (TSG) principles are desired.
