The Project Manager is responsible formanaging food service-related projects from final design through turnover tothe end user. Works effectively withgeneral contractors, engineers, project coordinators, sales staff, executivemanagement and other support departments. Serves as a key link with the clientsand reviews the deliverables prepared by the team before passing onto client Essential Functions & Responsibilities Pleasant and appropriate demeanor while conversing with customers, general contractors, architects, engineers' vendors and fellow Gill employees.Oversee projects from final design through turnover. Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis. Hold regular status meetings and/or attend jobsite meetings with project team.Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project. Coordinate and schedule subcontractors with General Contractor (GC).Manage day to day operational aspects of project and scope.Review Auto Quotes and Contract that references K Plans/Scrub Contracts for errors/Plan Check Auto Quotes Contracts as needed for errors prior to sending to Customer.Receive respond to phone calls, emails and inquiries in regard to new and on-going equipment contracts.Field Verify plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and HVAC rough ins for accuracy before finishes are installed on jobsites. Field measure for custom fabricated equipment and trim to insure proper fit at installation.Review, coordinate and release all vendor shop drawings into fabrication to meet project schedule.Supervise and Dispatch Installers with proper information about project to ensure success.Prepare and submit change orders to GC/Owner as required and Manage Project closeout. Competencies, Skills and Abilities Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills; ability to multi-task.Proficient in Auto Quotes Education & Experience 2-5 years of commercial food service experience preferred.5-10+ years of experience in the construction industry.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Proficiency reading blueprints.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to plan and organize a team effort.Strong organization skills with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and stay focused on critical objectives.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good client management and goodwill building ability.Clean driving record required.Ability to bend, lift, push, pull and carry a maximum of 25 pounds.Ability to travel to job sites
