DLS Engineering is seeking qualified candidates to fill an immediate need for a Subject Matter Expert supporting the US Air Force.A' A Day in the Life:A' A' Apply expertise in US Air Force (USAF) or Department of Defense (DoD) acquisitions and information technology portfolio planning, sustainment and improvementProvide Information Technology (IT) and professional services consulting and business planning services to support continuous improvement, analysis, integration, and implementation of acquisition information technology strategies; architectures; program planning and assessment; and risk, trade-off, requirements, alternatives, and feasibility studiesA' Provide subject matter expertise to support IT enterprise application transformation support servicesSupport the IT portfolio management team in analyzing, developing, routing, and reviewing policies and procedures that significantly reduce the number of systems and/or applications in the portfolioIdentify and evaluate prototype solutions of emerging IT and IT-related technologies and present findings and recommendations to Senior Leadership Assist in the development and articulation of the agencies strategic vision A' Perform requirements definition and refinement; analytics, process reengineering; information technology assessment, implementation, and sustainment; and data structure analysis and design A' Evaluate, select, procure, train, and stand-up Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) toolsA' (Software / Hardware / Network /Cloud / Cyber / Security compoents).Perform alternative system design studies Support the benchmarking, operational capability demonstrations, and acquisition of commercial program/portfolio management tools, source selection tools, modeling and simulation tools, and related design, integration, database population/ maintenance, and other services to further enhance the use of best practices and the transparency of program information to decision makers Provide support plans, processes, procedures, and information systems that enhance collaboration and data transparency requirementsWhen I read the below it sounds like me:A' MasterA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s Degree plus 9 years of related experience OR BachelorA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s Degree plus 11 years of related experience OR a High School Diploma plus 15 years of related experience;Air Force or DoD Information Technology portfolio planning, implementation, modernization and supportExperience across the following IT disciplines: infrastructure, project, portfolio, knowledge, and change management to fully integrate continually improving acquisition processes A' Understanding of the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC) process, specifically information services in the areas of governance and security, business requirements reviews, acquisition strategy development and compliance, audit, and overall IT complianceA' Understand National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requirements for defense business system modernizationsA' Superior Communication SkillsA' Must be able to pass a government background checkA' and currently hold a SECRET clearance Must be a US Citizen
