The Human Resources Group aligns policies, procedures, and activities with AARP's mission and strategic priorities. Human Resources does this by partnering with AARP's leaders and employees to assist them in achieving their objectives. We challenge dynamics inhibiting AARP progress and help AARP meet its social and financial objectives

As an Intern, you will apply analytical skills, grow your business acumen skills, build on your vendor research and management skills, as well as, make recommendation around aligning the ERG strategy to AARP's business strategy.
AARP offers an exciting, paid part-time diversity and inclusion (D&I) internship for 12 months. This program is designed to introduce top Masters / Graduate students to the D&I world.
Responsibilities
Internship will focus on:
• researching, designing a governance model for AARP's Employee Resource groups (ERGs)
• researching and creating an onboarding guide for ERG chairs and co-chairs
• researching and recommending of ERG best practices
• researching and recommending D&I strategic partners for training, development, and workshops
Requirements
Prospective intern must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
