Responsibilities

You will serve as a senior Procurement Analyst, performing duties such as:

• Analyzing and evaluating U.S. Secret Service contracting procedures, initiating, developing, and recommending procurement policies and guidance;
• Serving as procurement subject matter expert, and providing training;
• Examining ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process;
• Planning and conducting post-award quality reviews to assure understanding of procurement requirements and compliance of federal and local acquisition regulations;
• Serving on interdepartmental or inter-agency contracting policy task groups and subcommittees;
• Apprising all procurement personnel and appropriate U.S. Secret Service officials of policy/regulatory changes; and
• Assisting with the improvement of more extensive customer service engagement in order to enhance the procurement experience

• U.S. citizenship is required.

Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

• Pass a drug test (urinalysis)
• Certify you have registered with the Selective Service System if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, or certify you are exempt from having to do so under Selective Service law.

Qualifications

You must demonstrate at least one (1) year of the defined specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level and meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR).

Specialized experience is defined as:

• • GS-14: performing duties such as evaluating and developing procurement policies and procedures; ensuring federal acquisition and local regulations compliance; serving as a procurement subject matter expert and trainer; conducting contract quality reviews; serving as the interdepartmental or interagency procurement policy representative; and ensuring stakeholder engagement for proper and effective procurement matters.
