Position is on the staff of a management-consulting firm located in Tysons, VA firm specializing in government operations. LMI is dedicated exclusively to advancing the management of the government. We believe government can make a difference, and we seek talented, hardworking people who share that conviction. The Supply Chain Co-op will work at the LMI Tysons, VA facility. LMI's co-op program draws from several schools and typically employees several co-ops during each rotation. Students in this program are integral members of one or more project teams and will complete two rotations. Typically, they complete formal, specific job training in addition to their on-the-job experience. Responsibilities Study and analyze large, complex supply chains that support clients across federal government, including the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and the health and intelligence communitiesSupport a project team by analyzing supply chain processes (including procurement, inventory management, maintenance, and distribution) in federal government organizations Conduct background research, client interviews, and fact-finding in subject areas such as inventory, procurement, risk management, technical data, and lifecycle assessments.Perform logistics data analysis using in-house databases, modeling, simulation, and other analytical toolsBe an integral member of a project team and, in successive rotations, accept increasing responsibility. Under the guidance of a mentor, complete both on-the-job and formal job-specific training. Qualifications Must be a candidate for an undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain management (preferred), industrial engineering or similar logistics discipline.Must have a 2.5 GPA or better (copies of unofficial transcripts are required).Superior communication skills, both oral and written.Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, LMI will only consider who are eligible for security clearances.Be available for occasional travel.Other Information:Co-Ops will need to provide their own transportation to and from work and locate and arrange for their own housing.All Co-Op positions at LMI are paid positions.
