This is not a temporary assignment. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity. Responsibilities for this role will include: carrying out duties in a legal setting under the guidance of attorneys, including giving legal advice, researching information for court cases, and presenting cases in court. As a Paralegal you may: - E-File in state and/or federal court.- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.- Attend trials with attorneys in a support capacity.- Support attorneys in a legal office.- Investigate the facts of cases and ensure that all relevant information is considered.- Gather exhibits.- Prepare written reports.- Draft subpoenas and notices. - Draft pleadings and motions filed in court.- Draft and issue written discovery.- Review and respond to discovery requests.- Secure affidavits.- Assist attorneys during trials.- Organize and track files from case documents and make them available and easily accessible to attorneys. Candidates with prior experience supporting attorneys at trial, as well as candidates with experienced using the discovery review platform Relativity, will be given special consideration.
