GDIT is seeking a new member of the HR team, specifically on the Culture and Engagement team as an HR Coordinator to support several functions within this HR Center of Excellence. As a member of the Culture and Engagement (C&E) team, the HR Coordinator will support our culture related activities focused on organizational development, leadership development and strategy. The C&E team is a Center of Excellence in Human Resources aimed at driving initiatives that build GDIT's culture. Our ideal candidate will bring a customer service oriented approach and willingness to be flexible each day to an ever changing environment and work tasks. This candidate knows how to put the customer first and treat all stakeholders with respect and dignity. He/she is approachable, open to new ideas and others perspectives; and takes a proactive approach to handling responsibilities, resolving issues and offering solutions. The individual in this role must possess a high attention to detail and have pride in the quality of work output which is often reviewed by the executive team and other leaders.A Day in the Life:*Support GDIT Leadership Development efforts including event planning, administrative support and on-site support*Create and update data in spreadsheets for the purpose of event planning and leadership development efforts*Create graphics using MS Office tools for inclusion in presentations or other documents*Coordinate culture related events including; schedule dates and locations; work with local points of contact to assist in effort; create nametags and order promotional items for distribution*Support team initiatives including large scale leadership events, strategy workshops and succession planning sessions*Assist in planning for virtual leadership experiences including inviting attendees, arranging virtual links with vendors and documenting key follow-up items*Build trust based relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of Human Resources including leadership; maintain confidentiality and discretion*Be resourceful in finding information, conducting research and networking internally to develop recommendations and solutions for culture related activities and events.Qualifications:*Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience*Experience in a coordination role in large scale organizations*Strong organizational skills and time management*Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint*Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task while also raising concerns or risks to completing a task or meeting a deadline*Very detail oriented with an employee-centric focus to ensure the best employee experience with our team*Clear, concise communication style in both verbal and written communications*Strong interpersonal skills; listening, warmth, compassion, non-judgment, rapport*Experience in handling confidential data*Team player with a can-do attitude fostering collaboration *Self-awareness, humility and a desire to learn more*Desire to build HR experience and acumen and keen interest in culture building activities For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
