Bring your hands-on construction experience to a professional consulting setting with less stress and more flexibility for life balance as you move toward retirement The ideal candidate for this position will provide many years of Maryland or Virginia Highway, Bridge and Utility Construction contracting field experience. We provide construction expertise to designers and DOT's while performing plan review, CPM scheduling development and review, constructability review, and preparing detailed construction cost estimates, similar to contractor bid preparation. Responsibilities Provide your construction-based opinions Review plans for constructability Prepare reports using Word, Excel, and PDF formats Develop and review construction schedules using P6 Prepare detailed construction cost estimates Review project documentation for claims analysis Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer or candidate for PE preferred Proficient in Microsoft, Outlook, Adobe or Blue Beam Must have knowledge of preparing bids and working with cost estimates.
