Transit fare collection and fare validation systems. Conduent Atlas product and related device software and services Transit Fare Collection Experience with transit clients or any particular system? Looking for familiarity with the Transit Fare Collection domain, either via a transit agency or a system integrator SCRUM management EMV What kind? Hardware and software integration What software and hardware? Looking for familiarity with the challenges in delivering a system that contains custom software and hardware. Candidate should understand the hardware development manufacturing lifecycle as well as software development processes and have experience with getting a system to work that is not just software on standard and proven computing devices. Position 2 : System Devices Specialist, Validator Integration Is it an IT related or hardware related requirement? It s both. The Validator is a custom contactless reader with internal software processing and connected to cloud services. The Validator must be integrated into other fare collection equipment which requires an appreciation of electrical and mechanical design, steel cabinet manufacture, and manufacturing processes as well as the software involved. This position will be managing suppliers in many functional areas to achieve device integration. Functional requirements analysis System analysis and design What system? Fare validators (contactless smart card readers, mag-swipe readers, barcodes), fare payment devices (unattended kiosks, attended POS), transit gates and turnstiles, Systems and mechanical engineering Position 3 : System Devices Specialist, Handhelds Is it an IT related or hardware related requirement? See above. The primary handheld use case is for ticket sales and fare validation by Conductors travelling on trains. Current market knowledge of handheld payment devices and software Functional requirements analysis System analysis and design Transit Fare Collection and devices Handheld payment devices EMV Position 4 : System Devices Specialist, Obsolescence Is it an IT related or hardware related requirement? See above. This position will span all device types used in transit fare collection and manage the challenges of device and component obsolescence and related certification expiries. System analysis and design Transit Fare Collection and devices Vendor management Device end-of-life management Device evaluation Duties and Responsibilities: Determine, analyze and detail product and client functional requirements for fare collection devices, including standalone validators, gates, and turnstiles. Coordinate with vendors and solution providers to determine appropriate devices, technology and engineering developments. Work with the business stakeholders, operations and maintenance staff, and on-shore and off-shore development teams to design, document and implement solutions that meet strategic business objectives. Coordinate with device software development teams to support all required functionalities. Support new proposals, change orders, business development efforts, and strategic initiatives Oversee mechanical and electrical designs, prototyping, environmental testing and manufacturing contracts. Skills and Knowledge: Minimum 5 years experience in the Transit Fare Collection industry or similar 10+ years of hands-on experience developing, deploying and maintaining unattended field devices. Significant experience with coordinating third party vendors, manufacturers, test labs and software engineers to achieve device deliverables within complex systems Wide knowledge and experience of hardware design and manufacturing, software development, networking and electrical, safety and environmental standards. Excellent oral and written communications skills in both technical and client facing situations. Individual must be a team player, receptive to new ideas and concepts and willing to embrace them when final determinations are made. Knowledge and use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
