Job Purpose/Objective National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enable access and choice in seniors housing and care by providing data, analytics and connections that bring together investors and providers. The Senior Director, Corporate Communications, is responsible for effectively communicating the brand of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) and NIC's mission across all mediums as well as overseeing marketing in a way that aligns with the brand while achieving revenue goals. The organization requires strong communications to existing stakeholders as well as expanding awareness to new audiences. To achieve these goals, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading and managing aa team of six to eight marketers, designers, copywriters and marketing technologists as well as for effectively leveraging third party vendors including public relations, web development, and digital marketing agencies. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Build, implement, and enforce a corporate brand strategy that ensures consistency and impact across existing and new audiences. Includes refining and aligning brand and sub-brands positioning, messaging, architecture, and visual identity across all touchpoints. Develop strategic and integrated communications plans, including messaging and channel strategy, in the context of evolving corporate strategy and changing sentiment among industry constituents. Oversee marketing planning and execution that achieve specific calls to action. Plans would be expected to include a full range of marketing tactics. Serve as a strategic partner to each department to reinforce and advance NIC's brand and sub-brands as they implement strategic plans and conduct day-to-day operations. Ensure media coverage of key NIC initiatives by effectively managing the public relations function with support from an outside agency. Includes serving as the primary point of contact for trade press as well as general/real estate/investor press; writing and editing press releases; measuring and reporting on social and earned media; developing key messages for spokespeople and conducting ongoing media outreach. Qualifications Duties/Responsibilities 10 to 12 years professional experience is accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Master's preferred. Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment; ability to manage multiple projects at the same time Leadership experience - successful leadership experience in a matrixed environment with management experience of a team of 5 people; track record of developing and retaining strong team players High level of media relations expertise, with a proven ability to deliver earned media and social media engagement Extensive experience in brand and budget management Strong knowledge of technologies and tools to enhance our work, such as Salesforce, Survey Monkey, social media platforms, WordPress, Cvent, and HubSpot (or other marketing automation and lead management tools) Experience with agile development and knowledge of a variety of project management methodologies; Scrum or PMP certification a plus Knowledge of the Healthcare Technology, Commercial Real Estate or Seniors Housing sectors a plus Additional Skills Leadership-exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well; positively influences actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback and gives appropriate recognition Business Acumen-understands implications of decisions on being able to accomplish NIC's mission; aligns work with strategic goals; effectively manages budgets; and drives toward achievement of brand and revenue goal Strategic Thinking-contributes to developing strategies that help position NIC to continue to execute on its mission in a changing environment; continuously looks to see how the organization must evolve to achieve its mission within a changing environment
