Peraton is seeking a SCIF Systems Administrator to support our Defense Spectrum Organization customer. The Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO) requires access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) data for information exchange with the Warfighter and Intelligence Communities at its Joint Spectrum Center (JSC) Annapolis facility. This project provides an administratively supported, operational SCI Facility (SCIF) with approved Automated Information System (AIS) resources and associated Secure Telephone Equipment (STE) that supports the JSC Operations Division. Information exchange is provided via specialized, closed information systems supporting the Warfighter and Intelligence Communities. The SCIF supports the Warfighter by allowing rapid access to required electromagnetic (EM) spectrum information to support the DoD's EM spectrum needs, and by promoting informed decision-making concerning acquisition and use of EM spectrum dependent/susceptible systems. The SCIF supports exercises and real world operations conducted by the combatant commands and services. It also provides SCI level workspaces to the JSC/J3 Operations, JSC/J5 Research, Development, and Acquisition (RD&A), JSC/J6 Information Systems, and JSC/J8 Applied Engineering Divisions as well as other elements of the DSO, to accomplish their tasks. What you will do In this position you will be responsible for providing support across three core functions within the SCIF at the Joint Spectrum Center (JSC): System Administrator COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Each of these roles provides support to the Warfighter via Top Secret and Special Access Program (SAP) level programs. As a System Administrator, you will have the following responsibilities: Manage Windows based computer hardware and software, data storage devices, and application software, including long range planning for retirement and replacement Perform system level and data backups on computer systems Maintain software licenses for software products installed on SCIF computers Manage user accounts on Microsoft Windows based computers Assist customer with Local Area Network (LAN) management of Windows based server computers and associated network hardware (Router, Firewall) Maintain and update the SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) As a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO), you will have the following responsibilities: Assist customer with managing Cryptographic hardware and performing periodic Cryptographic key updates on associated hardware Perform monthly COMSEC inspections of Cryptographic hardware As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will have the following responsibilities: Manage user logon identification and passwords Periodically review computer audit trails Prepare and maintain local operating instructions, AIS equipment lists, and security concept of operations documents Maintain Anti-Virus software definition file(s) on SAP computers You would be a great fit if you have A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an Associate's Degree and 8+ years of related experience; without a degree, a minimim of 11+ years working as a Windows-based Systems Administrator, or other directly related technical experience is required Experience with installing new Windows-based computers and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners) and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems Familiarity with performing data backups to internal or external storage devices A CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI ticket It would be even better if you have Experience working on DoD accreditation packages (ie Risk Management Framework) for computer systems Experience working with Cryptographic equipment and key management Experience working with network hardware devices such as Routers, Firewalls, and Switches Current CISSP certification Strong communications skills; writing technical documents and interfacing with others SECURITY CLEARANCE This position requires you to have a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
