Profile: Data Architect Location: Washington, DC Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension) Description: In this role you will: DA will be responsible for Data Architecture/Modeling consulting services to the Data Governance Program under US Courts Judiciary Data & Analytics Office (JDAO). He/She will collaborate and partner with the JDAO Client Data Governance Program Team and work on the Data Governance Contract specific deliverables ie Subject Area Models, Enterprise Data Model - Conceptual and Logical Data Models for multiple Subject Areas using ERwin Data Modeling software. This position does not require any travel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Create Subject Area Models, Enterprise Data Model - Conceptual and Logical Data Models for multiple Subject Areas using ERwin Data Modeling software. Help define Data Architecture/Governance Framework & Roadmaps to support both short and long-term Business/IT objectives, Reference Architectures, and Enterprise Data Standards Supports the data governance adoption and achievement of program objectives. Operationalize the Data Governance policies and procedures. Monitor and assist business/technical data stewards in complying with Data Governance policies and procedures. Required Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: N/A EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: 12 years of experience in Enterprise Data & Analytics domain specializing in Enterprise Data Architecture, Modeling, Data Governance and Data Analysis. Expertise in building and managing Enterprise Data Models (Subject Area, Conceptual, and Logical), Business Glossary, and Data Dictionary. Expertise in Relational Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) using IE and IDEF1X methodologies, and Dimensional Modeling using STAR Schema methodology. Experience in Metadata Management (Data Mapping/Lineage) and Reference Data Management. Experience in working with Data Stewards, Data Managers, Data Owners, Business & IT Application SMEs. Experience in working with Key C-Level Business and IT executives, stake holders, decision makers, and key technologists across different business units/groups within a global enterprise. Experience in defining Data Architecture/Governance Framework & Roadmaps to support both short and long-term Business/IT objectives, Blue Prints, Reference Architectures, and Enterprise Data Standards Experience in data architecture, design and implementation of Enterprise OLTP Systems, DW/BI Reporting & Analytics Systems, Master and Ref Data Management (MDM/RDM) Systems, and Customer 360 Systems. Expertise in establishing Data Modeling Standards, Policies, Guidelines, and Governance. Experience in implementing Collaborative Data Modeling and Data Governance teams and environments. Experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, Data Analysis (OLTP, EDW, BI, ODS, MDM, RDM, DQ, DI) Experience in Gathering Business/Data Requirements, Business Process Modeling, Functional Specifications, Gap Analysis, Process/Data Flow Diagrams Experience in multi-tasking and ability to perform and deliver under pressure. Experience in planning, negotiation, decision making, and problem analysis skills. Must be a people person/team player, customer centric, problem solving and results oriented. Must have excellent written & oral communication, interpersonal and knowledge coordination skills Must have hands-on experience in ERwin Data Modeling Software and TRAVEL REQUIRED: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: N/A DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Collibra Data Governance Software.
