Aton Strategies is seeking an equity partner to join our team to expand its government relations activities. This is not an entry level position. The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide government relations/lobbying services to clients. Compensation is commensurate with the level of client development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the company and in the generation of new business. Responsibilities: Responsible for representing clients to influence policy makers at the county, municipal and state government level. Interacts with legislators, executive branch leadership, and coalition partners senior staff, of the state and local jurisdiction's executive branch and with members of state, county, and municipal legislative bodies at community affairs, political fundraisers and business events. Informs clients of pending legislation and recommends or advises on how to best position the client for optimum success. Serves as primary strategic liaison to third party groups, grassroots local influencers, and community and thought leaders. Qualifications Knowledge of government and its external and internal influencers and networks in Maryland. Established legislative, executive, and business relationships throughout the state. Proven history of success in achieving policy and business desired outcomes leveraging internal and external resources. Strong relationships and network of contacts at the state, county, and municipal level of government in Maryland. Highest level of personal integrity.
