Summary

This position is located in the Division of Finance, Office of the Director, Administrative Management Staff, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support with division administrative and information management applications.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of business processes and related information technical solutions utilizing approved program, project, and content management platforms.
  • Review and perform tests of information solutions to validate requirements and adherence with development standards, to include security and privacy concerns, prior to the solution being moved to a production environment.
  • Serve as a liaison at the project level between DOF business line staff and the CIOO staff. Coordinate with other FDIC Divisions/Offices, as appropriate, to improve and maximize efficiencies and consistency.
  • Analyze and evaluate changes in new information technology trends and assesses impact on DOF business needs and information systems. Monitor ongoing applications and determines if user needs are being met.
  • Prepare reports, briefings and other presentations for the Manager and DOF management on the status of assigned projects and new technologies. Conducts special projects involving research and analysis of technical and policy related information.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-12: Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the CG-11 grade level in the Federal sector. Specialized experience is experience supporting information technology projects to improve business operations in a financial organization, including designing, testing, implementing and monitoring systems and applications, establishing custom workflows, developing permission structures and ensuring security standards.

CG-13: Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the CG-12 grade level in the Federal sector. Specialized experience is experience coordinating and leading information technology projects including designing, testing, implementing and monitoring systems and applications; developing of new and emerging technologies to support business functions, establishing custom workflows, developing permission structures and ensuring security standards.

  • Ability to research and report on new and emerging information technologies for potential business process application.Ability to communicate in writing for the purpose of gathering information, reporting findings, developing policy, making recommendations and gaining consensus among divergent opinions and objectives.
