About You Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA), is a nonprofit association (not an insurance company) seeking a Content Marketing Specialist with hands-on marketing experience and a proven communications background. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will interface with all levels of the organization and external marketing partners. Position Summary The Content Marketing Specialist supports the department's marketing, communications and sales initiatives, with a strong focus on generating content. Work with / on various communication channels for the purpose of informing our members and prospects about our products and services in a positive, consistent and credible manner. Successful candidates are savvy digital storytellers and are team players, dedicated to WAEPA's mission and ready to roll their sleeves up when called upon outside of their traditional roles. We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can manage several projects at once - with a passion for marketing and communications. Education Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or sales Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Outstanding writing and editing skills Ability to write technical information in a friendly, easy to understand manner Excellent research and time management skills Team player Active and open-minded learner Competence in the following software is required - Microsoft Office -- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience in the following is preferred WordPress, Constant Contact, Google Analytics, Office Dynamics, Click Dimensions Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Photoshop Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation (including video strategy) Write, edit and proofread organization's communication content with a solid understanding of 'WAEPA's voice' and maintain brand voice across all materials - Work closely with partners and WAEPA's Member Services team to define and develop customized sponsored content and campaigns - Leverage all forms of communication to further the strategic interests, build brand visibility and thought leadership, and increase market awareness for WAEPA - Develop engaging copy, storylines and themes for external messaging to members and prospects Ensures corporate correspondence / communication meets brand guidelines, reads well and is error free - Content editor for WAEPA's eNewsletter Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring WAEPA's social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales Manage and maintain social media accounts; responds to all activity and effectively engage with WAEPA's membership; expanding our reach o Purchase social media advertising o Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization - Write and distribute press releases via newswire services - Monitors our competition weekly and provides progress-updates - Generate creative ideas for WAEPA's blog; write and post articles weekly - Maintain website content for accuracy and relevance - Manage and circulate monthly email marketing programs generating creative ideas and relevant content - Work with WAEPA's graphic designer to coordinate and fulfill creative development and execution of custom content; Build strong working relationships with our creative partners - Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic) to help shape future marketing strategies - Manage lead generation using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; Optimize content for lead generation and search engines - Assist marketing team with day-to-day tasks and coordinating projects; other duties as assigned About Us Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA), is a nonprofit association (not an insurance company) formed by federal employees, for federal employees.
