LIBERTY GROVE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH YOUTH MINISTRY DIRECTOR JOB OPENING Liberty Grove United Methodist Church is an active participant in the Burtonsville Community and the position of Youth Ministry Director is at the center of activities and life of the young people in this vibrant church. The Youth Ministry Director will develop, implement and oversee a comprehensive youth ministry program that is Christ-focused, promotes personal spiritual growth, and adheres to United Methodist discipline and beliefs. For the purpose of this job announcement, youth are defined as pre-teens and teens in middle school and high school. Among other things, to be successful, the Youth Ministry Director must have A calling to ministry; a passion for making youth disciples and mentoring them along their faith journey, and a desire to lead teens and pre-teens toward a fuller understanding of - and a personal relationship with - Jesus Christ. Knowledge of and adherence to United Methodist discipline and beliefs. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with both youth and adults. Prior experience in leading small groups of adults or youth. BA or BS, degree or 2 3 years of relevant experience.
