WANTED: An experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated experience in marine specific fields such as auxiliary systems, propulsion systems, fluids and hydraulics. A week in the life of a Senior Mechanical Engineer: Lead in the design, development, and evaluation and operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, such as power supply and propulsion systems. Review third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems. Perform design reviews, evaluations constructability reviews, helping resolve technical uses. and managing information generated through design and construction phase. Lead marine engineering analysis related to vessels. Help team to create graphical representations of structures. Inspect equipment or systems. Research advanced engineering designs or applications. Job Requirements MA or MS Degree 10 - 12 years' experience in marine specific fields such as auxiliary systems, propulsion systems, fluids and hydraulics. Ability to perform as team lead, and perform functional duties independently. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of at least one (1) year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding. Minimum of at least one (1) year demonstrated experience supporting a major system acquisition program (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent). Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point and MS Outlook other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation.
