The accounting and office assistant is responsible for processing vendor invoices and reimbursement requests, membership and staff data management. The position, which reports to the Controller, requires personal integrity and honesty, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and projects, to accurately review and enter data, to receive and respond to questions in a professional manner and to support the overall objectives of Christ Church. The accounting and office assistant will have demonstrated experience in accounts payable and using Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, experience in or the ability to learn Shelby information management, and be able to work well with staff and volunteers.Specific responsibilities include:Preparing facilities for and participating in the "Monday morning count"A' of Sunday and holiday donationsEntering parishioner contributions and other cash or check donations to the churchContacting donors to resolve questions regarding contributions receivedProcessing reimbursement requests and vendor invoices for paymentCompleting check writing processFiling as necessary, including transfer of hard copy filesProcessing quarterly contribution statements, including printing, folding, and stuffing envelopes and delivering completed mailings to the post office.Assisting tour docents with their employment requirementsEntering parishioner membership information in Shelby databaseHuman resources paperwork and data managementOther duties as assigned by the controller.
