We are looking for mid to senior level software engineers with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. We have a lot of exciting plans on our roadmap and need your help to make it happen! About this Role As a software engineer at Fugue you will lend a hand in designing, implementing, and automating new product features in our SaaS application. You will work within the Product team to define solutions that are technically sound, support a good user experience, and are efficient to implement. Our software is primarily written in Go, Python, and Javascript and makes heavy use of AWS services. Your focus will be on backend services, but if you are interested in frontend development you will be able to assist there as well. You'll contribute to sprint planning, follow agile methodologies, and help ship product updates regularly. The position is based in the Washington, DC area. Requirements We look for people with: At least 3 years of software development experience, knowledge of web technologies, a proficiency with Linux or containers, and interest in cloud computing A clear history of helping ship software products through a combination of coding skills and above average communication and collaboration abilities Familiarity with Python, Javascript, or Go A comfort level with giving and receiving candid feedback Follow-through: you do what you commit to, and you do it well And right now we'd be particularly thrilled to hire someone with prior experience in: Working on a SaaS application Developing HTTP APIs with Swagger Leveraging managed services in AWS, Azure, or GCP Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform SQL, data processing pipelines, or ETL systems Network security or encryption algorithms The Benefits You'll Get Competitive base salary Medical, dental, vision 401K Unlimited vacation policy Free snacks Company provided lunch three days a week Continuing learning budgets for every employee Company happy hours
