Metro is seeking a talented, intermediate level PeopleSoft HCM Analyst to join its Human Resources Information Management team. Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems & Reporting, this position is a key member of the team that supports all aspects of WMATA's PeopleSoft HCM system and business processes.

In this role, we are seeking a professional who will work collaboratively with professionals across departments to define functional requirements that are line with Human Resources initiatives and the overall WMATA vision. The Analyst will help foster organizational agility and change management capability for leaders and staff, enabling the adoption of technology, process, organizational and job transformations.

Strong functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and reporting are highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems Management
    • In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience in systems analysis and programming in a web application environment or similar work on applications in a PeopleSoft environment

Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years HRIS experience in PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 or greater. Also, must have two (2) years hands on experience in report writing, Query development and data/statistical analysis using SQL/SQR tools

Certification/Licensure
  • N/A

Job Summary:

The PeopleSoft Human Capital Management Analyst I partner with technical and functional staff to design, develop, and support solutions within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) applications. The incumbent is responsible for providing on-going support to HRIS, Information Technology (IT), Human Resources division and the User community. This support includes developing and managing project plans, requirements, designs, process flows, test plans and other system documentation as part of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Essential Functions:
  • Leads, investigates, analyzes and participates on the feasibility of less complex enhancements, automations, implementations and business processes for the PeopleSoft application. Proactively identifies opportunities and enhancements that help to design future Human Resources processes which strengthen the operational effectiveness and system functionality of the PeopleSoft application. Participates in sessions and design reviews to ensure design meets Human Resources requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with departments, management and team members in defining, designing, planning and implementing business processes and technology to improve overall business function.
  • Pro-actively investigates, audits and determines the integrity of the system and/or data within HR information systems and resolves problems at the individual, departmental and organizational levels.
  • Assists with the on-going development of the Human Resources (HR) applications, system administration, support, dealing with upgrades, patches, and other system issues daily.
  • Ensures all user acceptance tests are conducted and documented according to standards. Identifies and document system deficiencies. Assists with the coordination of Human Resources end user groups who test, evaluate and validate new functions of PeopleSoft.


OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Supports the HR Reporting and Analytics team with ad-hoc or urgent reporting requests and the HR Shared Services team with HCM production support and process improvement.
  • Provides functional and data training to peers and customers.
