Akehurst Landscape is looking for a motivated, team-oriented, experienced individual to join our team in the position of Lead Mechanic. Essential Functions: Evaluate the return and condition of landscape equipment, making repair recommendations Complete basic work service orders, sharpen blades, replace string lines, etc. Complete advanced repairs on 2-cycle and other landscape equipment Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes and other vehicle services Ensure equipment is clean, properly maintained and in good working order Provide updates, recommendations and regular communication to manager Follow safety rules and regulations, lead Shop Crew to meet daily goals Driver License and an acceptable MVR record Minimum of 1 year of shop, mechanic or fleet experience Must be able to operate and repair a variety of power-driven equipment Must provide your own set of basic shop tools Physical Demands/Working Conditions Able to lift 50 lbs.
