Responsibilities Dovel Technologies is looking for a User Interface Designer to join our team in Rockville, MD Improve the look and feel of digital government products using wireframes developed by the User Experience Designer Create overall concepts for the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and easy for customers Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and typography Knowledge of design, information hierarchy, and branding as it relates to a digital product Ability to create and organize style guides for consistency across projects Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to clients and management Account for and track the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design Knowledge of design systems and ability to follow an existing style guide Ability to rapidly prototype mockups and edit them in iterations using Sketch or Axure Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training 2 years of experience in user interface design Proficient with visual design programs such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, and Zeplin Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces, especially while working with the UX Designer and developers Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data for the best possible outcome Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently Professional written and interpersonal skills Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and technology Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 capabilities for easy design handoff Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Dovel Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled
