Aronson LLC has an immediate opening for a Manager to join our International Specialty Tax Services Group within the Tax Practice. Responsibilities Provide tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to Aronson clients Perform technical detail review for accuracy of US international tax reporting forms including US federal Forms 5471, 5472, 926, 8865, 8858, 1118, 1116, 3520, 3520-A, 1120-F, 1040NR, 1042, 1042-S, etc. Proactively research existing and proposed tax law to determine impact on clients' financial position; present finding / recommendations to clients as appropriate Develop tax planning strategies to minimize US and foreign income taxes Develop tax efficient structuring of international transactions; make effective use of tax treaties Conduct primary and secondary review of complex international tax returns Keep informed of developments within the international arena that may affect client business, both globally and locally Oversee international tax engagements and additional required staff Service existing client base Act as leader on compliance matters and consultative international responsibilities Supervise tax staff to ensure that tax engagements are completed in an efficient and timely manner Review workpapers prepared by staff; recommend changes, additional documentation, research, and / or calculations as necessary to comply with applicable tax law and Firm policy Participate in business development activities to increase client base; attend networking events and industry meetings and partake in thought leadership and speaking engagement Requirements 3 - 6 years of public accounting (tax) experience; concentration or significant experience in international tax Knowledge of transfer pricing, corporate outbound structuring, foreign tax credits, foreign reporting, corporate inbound structuring, interest stripping rules, PFIC rules, and Sub Part F Active CPA license in good standing, required Degree in Accounting or related field required Masters in Taxation, JD or other applicable advanced degree a plus, but not required Strong technical proficiency Willingness to travel locally (DC/MD/VA) to clients, prospects and other firm related functions as needed Qualified candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States Aronson is proud to be an equal opportunity employer
