Local candidates only. This co-op opportunity begins January 2020 through August 2020 and consist of 40 hours per week. IZI Medical Products is a well-established medical device manufacturer and distributor. We are seeking applicants for our Engineering co-op programs as part of our QA team. This is a great opportunity to provide valuable on the job experience as a QA Engineer. Selected candidates are exposed to the daily job functions of an Engineer within their assigned area while working with and under the direction of experienced managers to support our design, manufacturing and product development processes. Depending upon the area of specialization and placement, the co-op's responsibilities may include projects involving: Providing hands-on coordination and support for execution of the nonconforming product (NCMR) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) processes Providing hands-on coordination and investigation of failure investigations (FIR) from initiation to completion to ensure time-sensitive activities, documentation and approvals are completed Working and communicating with the QA and non-QA to support a quick and robust decision-making process in support of quality system requirement Supporting prioritized activities, including NCR, CAPA, FIR and operational improvements Assist manufacturing with daily issues related to quality system requirements Training and educating others on quality-system requirements and good documentation practices to help ensure compliance Lead the internal auditing process and participate in compliance audits Advising and working with various teams (eg raw materials inspection, document control, maintenance and calibration, environmental monitoring and control, manufacturing, engineering, etc.) Supporting documentation for new and existing products Developing quality reports to support assessments of quality system effectiveness Quallifications Junior or Senior level Engineering student - prefer ME or Bioengineering candidate
