SUMMARY. The Digital User Experience Associate will be primarily responsible for three critical digital areas: digital user experience across all NACD website properties, implementing and managing the strategy for SEO and metadata, as well as managing all paid digital advertising, including media buys. They will coordinate with NACD teams to optimize the website user experience from end to end, including implementing and maintaining NACD's website personalization strategy, nonmember buying journey mapping and member engagement journey mapping across all NACD website properties. The Digital Experience Associate should be able to draw insights from engagement trends, for members and nonmembers, and recommend and implement improvements. These efforts will aid in growing NACD's digital presence and attendance at in person events, membership growth to engage and retain members, and will be key to NACD's digital marketing success as we embark on building and executing our digital strategy. Ultimately, the Digital Experience Associate should be able to effectively use digital channels to educate, increase awareness and drive engagement for our members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Digital User Experience across all NACD website propertiesCurates and manages website user experience from acquisition to renewal, for all NACD website properties. Implements and manages website personalization strategy for different user types, as part of the larger digital strategy. Implements and monitors nonmember buying journey and member engagement journey mapping. Works with marketing team members and web development team to implement and monitor nonmember buying journey and member engagement strategy through the use of selected personas. Identifies opportunities to improve/innovate the user experience with our digital content by adopting leading practices in content taxonomy, curation, effective web language, and search. Develops a keen, nuanced understanding of the customer (the full board or individual director) and how they use digital content to support their work. Draw insights from engagement trends for member and nonmember website engagement, and recommend improvements. Improve and Maintain SEO and metadata for all NACD website properties. Implements and maintains organization's SEO and metadata strategy for all website properties. Researches trends on SEO best practices and serves as in-house expert. Recommends content and webpage updates for SEO and keyword search. Works closely with key product stakeholders to ensure that digital content assets (white papers, analytics, reports etc.) are effectively deployed, maintained and archived. Paid Digital Advertising and Media Buys. Responsible for managing all digital paid advertising campaigns, ad schedules, and associated analytics and metrics. Reports weekly on the performance of ad campaigns, keywords, and budget spend. Responsible for all external ad buys, including but not limited to, the advertising schedule, budget allocation, and ad placements. Manages external ad agencies to ensure that the appropriate ads and graphics are being used. Liaises with graphic designers to ensure that ads are on brand and on message. Keeps the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing abreast of any changes and issues that may arise. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS. A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, new media, or a related field and a minimum of three years of work experience in digital marketing and advertising is required. Must have experience with managing external designers and vendors, content management systems, and marketing website user experience. In-depth knowledge of Google Adwords, SEM, and digital advertising is required. Ability to deliver creative content, grasp future trends in digital technologies, and act proactively required. Experience with HTML, SEO, and metadata is required. Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels as well as experience communicating to corporate boardroom directors and C-suite executives online with compelling content is preferred. Familiarity with corporate governance is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, strong project management skills, sharp attention to detail, an ability to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities, and strong organizational skills with a focus on realizing success and driving projects through to fruition is required. Must be a great team player and natural problem solver. Must exhibit exemplary interpersonal skills as well as the ability to demonstrate the resilience, flexibility, and persistence necessary to positively influence and support the team in generate anticipated business results.
