Rhombus Power is a fast-growing start-up working in the nuclear and defense industries to bring big-data insights to enterprise-level planning and decision-making. Our software securely ingests, analyzes, and displays data, allowing users to interact with their big datasets, as well as providing tools for improved work flow. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work as a member of our Development and Deployment Team - in order to develop, test, debug, and launch web-based applications in AWS Cloud and Linux environments in collaboration with our Product Team. A strong systematic mind is a priority, as well as the ability to communicate clearly in multiple technical contexts. The ideal candidate has a background in full-stack web development, data analytics and application deployment. You should be willing to work hard and deliver on accelerated time frames, while maintaining attention to how the backend databases relate to front-end application architecture during testing and debugging on the way to an application deployment. As we are continually releasing new features and products, the ability to curate and validate data sets, and implement large-scale data processing on the backend is also required. Job description Test, debug and deploy web-based applications in AWS environment in collaboration with product team. Create and Maintain AWS Cloud environment using EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Auto Scaling VPC and CloudFormation services. Large scale data processing and implementing batch processing pipelines. Data curation, analysis, quantitative modeling. Validation and quality assurance of data, models and results. Interact with the product team on current and upcoming user requirements. Qualifications US Citizen who is eligible for Government clearance required; current secret clearance holder preferred. Extensive experience with Python, MySQL, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. . Strong background deploying code on AWS EC2 with Apache web server. Strong background in database management solutions, familiarity with databases such as MySQL and Oracle. Experience with Linux (CentOS and RHEL). Experience in working on Docker and Virtualization.
