The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of accounting and financial duties, being primary support of the treasury functions. While this position will be assigned core duties, they will be cross-trained in all accounting functions (Month Close, GL work, AP, AR) to enable the back-filling of duties when necessary. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions are a must.Responsibilities:Bank and credit card reconciliations.Support the treasury/banking function including debt related reporting.Input authorized payment instructions via bank portal.Verify completeness of wire transfer requests.Prepare daily cash position and weekly cash transaction reports.Ensuring all federal, state, local and business registrations are accurately completed and filed timely.Assist Accounting Staff and Management in month end accounting close process.Assist with Billing, Collections, Accounts Payable, Payroll, GL reconciliations.Assist with 1099 preparation.Run Accounts Receivable report weekly.Help maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Perform other duties and projects as needed.RequirementsBachelorA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s degree majoring in accounting.2-3 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role (internships included).Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Experience with automated accounting systems (Intacct or similar applications).Strong attention to detail, proficient at establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.Capability to work in fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members.Professional, punctual, dependable, reliable, with a desire to learn.Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.A cover letter is required for consideration for this position.
