Applied Resource Group is hiring for a Remote Azure Architects and Developers in the Washington, DC Area. The Architect will have responsibility for the architecture, design of cloud computing technologies Certifications: Must have at least one of the Azure technical certification exams (70-532, 70-533, or 70-534) RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting Azure cloud computing technologies Architect, design, and build Azure solutions across Iaas and SaaS Define reusable components/frameworks, common schemas, standards & models to be used Keep up with industry trends and best practices, advising senior management on new and improved data engineering strategies that will drive departmental performance leading to improvement in overall improvement in data governance across the business, promoting informed decision-making, and ultimately improving overall business performance. Design, build and launch extremely efficient & reliable data pipelines to move data (both large and small amounts) into a Data Lake in Azure Designs and plans BI, and other Visualization Tools capturing and analyzing data from multiple sources to make data-driven decisions, as well as debugs, monitors, and troubleshoots solutions. Assists with data migrations across the enterprise as well as with optimization and scalability efforts. Works closely with key data clients (business data analysts, data scientists etc.) to understand needs and challenges and come up with strategy and solutions. Implement ad-hoc analysis solutions using Azure Data Lake Analytics/Store, HDInsight Architect and implement ETL and data movement solutions using Azure Data Factory, SSIS Achieve an expert level understanding of our applications and environments QUALIFICATIONS: At least 7 years of experience in designing, architecting and implementing large scale solutions 5 years of progressive IT and data architecture experience, in a similar role. 3 years in the design of cloud computing technologies At least 3 years of experience in migrating using Azure automation tools from on premise and cloud infrastructure to Azure
