Location: Rockville, MD and walking distance to White Flint Metro Station Role: Controller Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Direct supervision of selected members of the department to include providing daily and weekly guidance, providing direct feedback on performance, and writing annual reviews Development, preparation and presentation of key business reporting and metrics to company leadership Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable General Ledger oversight and implementation Cost Accounting and Revenue recognition Prepare budgets and financial forecasts to Executive Team for overall business decisions Execute month-end and year-end closings and reconciliation processes Analyze financial performance and trends to identify significant fluctuations for further executive evaluation Identify/implement work process improvements to streamline accounting methods Ensure Quality Control over financial transactions and reporting Manage and comply with local, state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of overall accounting and finance experience with construction background Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA accreditation a plus) Strong organizational and analytical skills 3+ years experience with Construction Management Software MS Office proficiency including advanced knowledge of Excel Heffron Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer ("EEO") and a Drug Free Workplace.
