Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Deputy, Defense Contract Management Agency International
  • Reviews all phases of contract management to include negotiation of contract modifications, contract terminations, cancellation charges, program and technical support, and contractor compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Ensures that procurement policies and procedures as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) are applied within the DCMC International.
  • Reviews and interprets program and technical support data for contractors to ensure that equipment/materials/services meet the stated requirements.
  • Analyzes, interprets and applies/adapts broad policy directives issued by the Agency to enhance the strategy of applying best practices.
  • Advises the Commander on the soundness and quality of current programs in DCMA International as they relate to the Command policy/directives and recommends changes in local policy and procedures to improve the quality of these programs

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized Experience required: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level NH-03. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience directing and providing technical advice and guidance to a group of acquisition professionals and technical employees responsible for monitoring complex acquisition processes. Provide oversight to acquisition personnel performing contract administration, engineering, program management, earned value management and other critical acquisition responsibilities. Plan and manage the activities and provide technical assistance for functional field contract management teams. Make decisions that have direct impact on delivery of systems, subsystems, and components to major Government buying commands (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, DLA, NASA, etc.). Develop work standards and identify ways to improve production or increase the quality of work produced.
